2026 Wedding Stationery Trends at Scribed by Sophie

2026 wedding stationery trends

We might be revelling in summer sunshine and dreaming of aperols in Italy right now, but 2026 is going to be here before we know it - and as a wedding stationery designer, I’m always looking ahead. Whether we choose to follow them or just acknowledge them as inspiration, trends come around every year; and I’ve predicted five things I think we’re going to see plenty of over the next year or so! Welcome to another day in the Scribed by Sophie studio - time to pop your feet up and take a look through these 2026 wedding stationery trends, and see which ones light you up.

  1. Fabric Wedding Signage

Yes, my wonderfuls, wedding signage is getting a glow up for 2026! Fabric signs are the newest addition to the Scribed by Sophie portfolio, and I think we’re going to be seeing lots of them in different materials, styles and colours throughout the next 18 months and beyond. They’re a gorgeous, flowy feminine alternative to classic hard board signs, and have a beautiful vintage quality about them which of course I just love. You’ll need somewhere to hang your fabric sign, which makes them perfect for al fresco weddings surrounded by handy trees. We can also work on different scales; think teeny tiny personalised fabric signs to hang from each guest’s chair, versus floor-to-ceiling options showing your loved ones where they’re seated.

Dynamic and decorative, I can’t wait to play with different types of fabric and new colours in the coming months!

2.Bridgerton Romance

2026 heralds the joy of a brand new Bridgerton season, so I think we’ll be seeing lots of weddings inspired by the ‘Ton next year. Vintage romance featuring classic details, antique patterns and traditional techniques will nestle up right alongside punchy colours, a la mode styling and design choices with flair - in just the same way that the TV show debuts historical whimsy with fierce and fabulous characters.

If you’re ready to start imagining it, you can take a look at my
Bridgerton wedding stationery guide here.

3. Full Sets of Stationery

More and more couples are booking full wedding stationery suites rather than individual elements, proving that these details are becoming increasingly important in the design of the day. It’s a truly elevated experience when your guests receive an invitation that introduces the style and personality of your wedding day, only to find it seamlessly and cohesively continued through all the other elements of stationery - from the welcome sign to the seating plan to the menus and name cards on the tables, and even the thank you notes afterwards!

Giving handwritten notes is one of my favourite things, which is why I also offer stationery for all your other life events - explore it here.

4.Tuscan Sunset Colours

Where this year was punctuated with bold reds (which you can find out
how to tastefully bring into your wedding stationery here), flashy pinks and year-round pretty pastels, 2026 is going to be all about warm, earthy, grounding tones - which can always be accented with those zesty tones too. The shades of next year will be reminiscent of an afternoon at a Tuscan vineyard, when the light is soft and the world is hazy and life is wonderful. I’m thinking sun-toasted terracotta and sumptuous sage (weddings are not finished with you, sage!), rainforest yellow and freshly brewed coffee…I’m daydreaming about all the lovely colour combinations I’ll get to play with next year!

5. Low Volume Luxury

Like everything else, weddings go through cycles - they get bigger and more lavish and the decadence flourishes, and then gently they become more pared back until it repeats again. I think 2026 will be a low-volume luxury kind of year, favouring the understated - I’m looking at you, colourless letterpress and tonal designs, intentional styling and suggestions of colours, patterns and shapes. One of my favourite mediums for this is vellum, giving us the opportunity to tease a design in a lovely soft way. You can explore more of my favourite design details here

So, my wonderfuls - are you going to be going with the trend flow or paving your own way with your 2026 wedding stationery? Whatever you decide, Scribed by Sophie has you covered. Contact me to begin designing, whether you go fully bespoke or choose from my semi custom guide.

MUCH LOVE,

Soph X
